Become a Corca Course Captain

Course Captains help make Corca the central place for their classmates to study, share notes, prepare for exams, ask questions, and collaborate.

Instead of creating another temporary Discord or GroupMe each semester, you’ll help build a course community that can continue helping students semester after semester.

You’ll get your own referral link, access to exclusive Course Captain bounties, and rewards for helping your class become active on Corca.

How the program works

1. Apply to become a Course Captain
Tell us your school, your current classes, and which courses you’d like to lead.

2. Get your unique Corca link
Once approved, you’ll receive your personal referral link through Dub.

3. Share Corca with your class
Share your link through approved class channels like GroupMe, Discord, Canvas, Blackboard, study groups, or professor/TA-approved announcements.

4. Build your class community
Share notes, create Corca Docs, answer questions, and encourage classmates to use Corca for studying and exam prep.

5. Earn rewards
Earn through qualified referrals, course growth milestones, Corca Docs, and additional bounties.

Qualified student referrals
Earn rewards when new students sign up, verify their school identity, and join your course.

Course milestones
Earn additional rewards when your class reaches milestones such as 15, 30, or 50 qualified students.

Corca Docs
Earn rewards for approved lecture notes, study guides, exam prep resources, formula sheets, and other useful course content.

Course Captain bounties
Complete additional tasks such as sharing Corca through an approved class channel, hosting a study session, launching another class, or helping grow Corca at your school.

Who should apply?

You don’t need a huge social media following.

Course Captains are usually students who already enjoy:

• organizing study groups
• helping classmates
• making study guides
• running class GroupMes or Discords
• tutoring
• leading student organizations
• sharing useful resources
• bringing people together

Then:

If you’re already the person classmates turn to when they need notes, exam prep, or a study group, you’re probably a great fit.

Example

You’re taking MATH 2413 this semester.

You become the Course Captain for MATH 2413 and receive your personal Corca course link.

You share the link in your class GroupMe or through a Canvas or Blackboard channel.

Your classmates join Corca, where you begin sharing lecture notes and exam prep.

As your course reaches qualified-student milestones, you unlock rewards and additional bounties.
